STOOL

Pagodas from early traditional architecture, self-contained temple buildings that created a specific spiritual atmosphere, and 3 stories symbolising spiritual peace, harmony and a source of energy, were the inspiration for the PAGODE stool. A narrow base supports the hand-oiled oak stool. Its seat cushion is available in plain black or two-tone melange woven in a traditional herringbone pattern.
Its wooden structure is inspired by the ancient Japanese wood-splintering technique naguri, whose geometric principle creates random patterns. A narrow base supports the handcrafted oak stool. Its oiled wood features a smooth surface with a silky feel. The high-quality upholstery fabric is woven from two different coloured wool threads in a traditional herringbone technique. The custom-made upholstery square sits firmly anchored in the wooden body.
PAGODE breathes the austere aesthetics and warm feel-good atmosphere of the Japanese furnishing style. Kanso, Shizen and Seijaku, simplicity, naturalness and tranquillity characterise the oak stool, which is formally reminiscent of the building culture of pagodas. Three square tiers rise up like towers in an artistic interplay of horizontals and verticals, wood grain and upholstery clarity, vitality and care. The soulful stool sculpture PAGODE unfolds its contemplative atmosphere ideally in living and sleeping areas, meditation and yoga rooms.
